Stephen Burns to DePaul

The DePaul University School of Music is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Burns, trumpeter, composer, and conductor, to its faculty beginning in the Fall of 2020. He will become an integral part of the trumpet studio as well as leading liberal arts and performance courses at the School of Music in the 2020-2021 academic year.

Brian Lynch, a jazz trumpeter player and a professor at The Frost School of Music at the University of Miami, received a GRAMMY Award at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, Sunday, January 26, 2020, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Tianjin Jinbao Fifth International Music Festival

From August 9 - 13, 2019, the Second Trumpet Arts Festival was held as part of the Tianjin Jinbao Fifth International Music Festival. This five-day event was held in the Jinbao District in the city of Tianjin, China. The festival was sponsored by The Tianjin Cultural Tourism Bureau, The Tianjin Education Committee, The Tianjin Musicians Association, and organized by Tianjin Jinbao Musical Instruments Co., Ltd.
