The 2012 Rafael Mendez Brass Institute will take place at the University of Denver, Denver C0 (USA).  Hosted by DU and the Summit Brass, the week will include daily career development seminars, master classes, rehearsals and concerts.  Private lessons are available.  A total of 160 brass participants (ages 18 and up) will be enrolled on a first-come basis.  Thanks to the generous support of Drs. Robert Mendez and Rafael Mendez Jr., tuition cost is extremely low. Summit Brass, a 16-piece brass ensemble comprised of many of America's leading brass artists, includes trumpeters Allan Dean, David Hickman, Ronald Romm, Alan Hood, and John Marchiando.  The institute, now in its twenty-seventh year, is the leading career development seminar for young professional brass players.
