Gallatin Trumpet Guild Session Featuring Thomas Hooten

The Gallatin Trumpet Guild, associated with the Montana State University Trumpet Studio, hosted an evening session with Thomas Hooten, Principal Trumpet of the LA Philharmonic.

This event served as a celebration kickoff for the Gallatin Trumpet Guild becoming a nonprofit and affiliate chapter of the International Trumpet Guild. The Gallatin Trumpet Guild leadership includes Dani Espiritu, President; Sienna Chandler, Vice President; Carrie Babcock, Treasurer; Sophia Hahner, Secretary, and Group Adviser, Dr. Sarah Stoneback.

The event took place on October 30th, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. at Montana State University School of Music, Bozeman, Montana. This presentation was also offered for people to join virtually as well. Thomas provided sound advice and shared his expertise on sound production, range, and much more.

The audience consisted of trumpeters at the collegiate level, professionals, hobbyists, music educators, and community members. A reception was held after the event to celebrate the GTG. (Source: Sarah Stoneback)
