Christopher Luebke-Brown to University of North Carolina Wilmington

Christopher Luebke-Brown has been appointed to the faculty at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where his duties will begin in the Fall of 2023.

Dr. Christopher Luebke-Brown is an active performer and educator with a passion for exciting new repertoire and modern pedagogical approaches. He has performed solo recitals across the country in addition to performing with instrumental ensembles such as the Austin Symphony Orchestra, the Dallas Winds, the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs, and the Longmont Symphony Orchestra.

Christopher Luebke-Brown

Originally from Dallas, Texas, Christopher has been performing for over eighteen years. He has been teaching privately for over six years, teaching a wide age range from middle school students to adult beginners. He has held successful private studios in Austin, Dallas, and Boulder. Christopher has served as Lecturer of Trumpet in the Department of Continuing Education at the University of Colorado at Boulder, teaching private lessons to non-major trumpet students. Christopher is a regular contributor to the International Trumpet Guild Journal and has served as a volunteer and performer for the International Trumpet Guild conference. He has competed in the National Trumpet Competition in the graduate solo division, the military excerpts division, and the ensemble divisions, and he performed in the small ensemble that placed first in the 2022 small ensemble division. Christopher recently completed his doctorate in trumpet performance, pedagogy, and literature at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Christopher holds a bachelor’s degree in trumpet performance from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree in trumpet performance from Southern Methodist University.
