The Ohio Affiliate Chapter of the International Trumpet Guild held its annual trumpet event on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Capital University Conservatory of Music in Columbus, OH. The guest artists were Matthew Anklan, Lead Trumpet of the Columbus Jazz Orchestra and the Cincinnati Contemporary Jazz Orchestra, and Thomas Hooten, Principal Trumpet of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra.

Michael Sachs and the Cleveland Orchestra presented the world premiere of Concerto for Trumpet by Wynton Marsalis, on Thursday, April 27th, at 7:30pm, at Severance Music Center in the Mandel Performance Hall, under the direction of Franz Welser-Möst.
