Denver Municipal Band honors Gerald Endsley

The Denver Municipal Band presented a concert on July 4, 2017, in Denver’s Washington Park, honoring former trumpet soloist and conductor Gerald Endsley.

Endsley began working with the band as Principal Solo Cornet in 1966, and assumed duties as Conductor in 1995.  He worked with the band until his death on February 27, 2015.

A memorial bench was placed in Washington Park, a short distance from where band concerts are often given.  Funds for the bench were provided by many friends of Endsley through the Denver Municipal Band.
