Position: Graduate Assistantship

The University of Arkansas Department of Music & Trumpet Studio seeks a highly motivated, mature, and dedicated performer/teacher as the graduate assistant in the trumpet studio beginning August 2025..

Duties may include:

  • Performing as second trumpet in Arkansas Brassworks (faculty brass quintet)
  • Teaching lower-level undergraduate applied trumpet students in a technique curriculum
  • Assisting with the Trumpet Studio, UA Trumpet Ensemble, & Chamber Music coaching as needed
  • Social media administration for the trumpet studio
  • Other departmental duties assigned as needed

The approximate compensation is $11,936 for a 9-month stipend (2024-25 level) plus a full in and out of state tuition waiver. This is a tremendous opportunity for a young person to gain valuable professional teaching and performance experience during Master’s level study.

The University of Arkansas is located in Fayetteville in Northwest Arkansas in the Ozark Mountains. The Music Department is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music and offers a rigorous curriculum of study, quality student ensembles, and a dedicated professional faculty..
