Al Hood visits Central Methodist University

On September 14, 2016, Al Hood, Professor of Trumpet at the University of Denver – Lamont School of Music and recording artist, was the guest speaker at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri.

Following a dinner at a local restaurant with high brass students and a performance by the CMU Trumpet Ensemble, Professor Hood briefly highlighted his professional career, interjecting the importance of networking and chamber ensemble participation. Most of the ninety-minute presentation shifted to Professor Hood listening to each student describe their career aspirations and offered ways of obtaining those goals. The evening concluded with Professor Hood and Dr. Perkins reminiscing about their time of study with Raymond Crisara at the University of Texas. It was a pleasant, intimate evening and very inspiring for the students.
